A EUROPEAN "SCHOENHUT" TIGER
Circa 1910
Carved and painted wood, with glass eyes, open mouth, leather ears and original twisted twine tail. Painted dark orange/brown with black stripes. It has a pretty primitive appearance compared to the tiger from Schoenhut's Humpty Dumpty Circus.

Circa 1910
Carved and painted wood, with glass eyes, open mouth, leather ears and original twisted rope tail. Painted light yellow/cream with black dots. It looks a lot like the leopard from Schoenhut's Humpty Dumpty Circus, It differs mainly in colour and may have a slightly friendlier appearance.

A carriage with three cages, with bars on the front (one is missing) and hinged doors on the back. On cast iron spoked wheels. The semi-circular roof is made of cardboard. In the cages are three carved wooden wild animals. Some light wear.

and with titles in French, German and English. 45 shapes (including cuboids, parallelepiped, tetrahedra, sphere, cone, cylinder, cubes, triangular prism, icosahedron, dodecahedron, etc) and a ruler. Some branded with letters, some with (later) pencil marks. Complete.

and carve various animals.
It was probably not a popular product, parents would not really consider it suitable for children because of
the quite dangerous nature of the tools and its use. Hence the rarity
of this item.

The blue painted wooden wagon with glass windows at either side
and a door at the back. A coachman's buck at the front and with four
red painted spoked wheels. On the roof at either side the text "OMNIBUSDIENST". The drawbar is missing. One wheel restored.
No other known of.

Hand-painted and modelled wooden and paper mache figures, arms
of lithographed paper. Hanging from metal rods that could well be original. On one figure a piece broken off from both feet, the other misses a small piece of the nose. This is a smaller version of the ones usually seen.

Yellow, grey and black painted wooden vehicle with four wheels and
a painted post horn on both sides, attached with a metal hook the
trailer with two wheels and also a painted post horn. Reflecting the
art style of this period, but in this case with rounded corners as well.

Painted wooden head with two handles on both sides, on wooden stick with a wooden wheel at the end. A very popular toy for centuries, but seldom seen.
