A CANDY CONTAINER IN THE SHAPE OF A BOULLE CHEST

The heavy paper stock two-drawer cabinet with bombe-shaped front and turtle-shaped top has bronze legs and pulls and is decorated by printed paper in the manner of Boulle inlay, with gilded edging. The two drawers originally held candies and the chest was later used as furniture for dolls.

ROULLET ET DECAMPS PIG AUTOMATON

Key wound mechanism with brake, pink kid leather covered papier mâché, glass eyes, nose, mouth and inner ears are painted pink, articulated neck and legs, yellow painted hooves upon four encased metal wheels, curled tail. Head turns from side-to-side, internal bellows voice box issues a squeaking sound, he also walks upon articulated wheeled legs, some fading and discoloration to kid leather, especially where one holds the pig to wind it up. Original blue silk ribbon and metal key. Left ear replaced. Rare small size.

head, turns its head from left to right and at the same time a small wooden doll 'jumps' over his head from left to right when the metal handle in his belly is turned. Piece of wax missing, clothes damaged.

A drummer boy with wax over composition head, glass eyes, painted wooden lowerarms and composition legs, wearing a soldiers uniform, standing on a painted and paper covered platform. When handle is turned arms move up and down. Head needs to be reattached in order for the arms to move better. Figure is undressed. Split in the platform.
