Original orange cardboard case containing ten playing cards. These
represent: a man turned to the left with a red bag and a man turned to the right with a black bag (the two speculators), a group of men in front of the entrance gate of the Stock Exchange building, five cards with two rows of dice. Set complete, but slightly smudged.

A set of 32 (instead of the usually 28) hand-colored shoulder-length profile portraits on card, divided into three interchangeable sections. In original wooden box with three compartments. According to the instructions (under the lid, in this case for the Ladies version) this toy permits the possibility of twenty-one thousand nine hundred and fifty-two different permutations. There is a second one of every portrait so there are twice 16 portraits. Four middle sections are missing.

All hand-coloured etching. Depicting two musicians, an old man with rakes and finally an altar and two clergymen. The anamorphoses have printed numbers in a corner 7, 10 and 11. Two slightly stained. Without mirror.

THE GAME OF FABLES FOR THE YOUTH
or twenty movable fables written by C.F. Gellert. Published by
H.F. Muller, Vienna, 1819. One of the earliest "slot books".
With a coloured landscape and a multitude of coloured and cut-out illustrations in marbled cardboard slipcase and the reading booklet containing Gellert's fables, together in another marbled slipcase labeled with title in German and French. The enclosed larger uncoloured plate serves as example. One fable cannot be created at all, #17 is missing. Four others are not entirely complete, so six figures missing in total.

A PAPER DOLL SET BY ADOLF ENGEL

A very luxurious version of Adolph Engel's paper doll set "from the cradle to the altar". A cardboard box representing a chest with five drawers bearing the inscription "Hochzeit” (wedding) and four drawers with names on them. Lithographed figures, clothes and accessories. The set will probably not be complete but is very extensive. The usual small damages. The chest has been restrengthened at the inside.

A JIGSAW PUZZLE "THE MAIDSERVANT"

Cut-out pieces of wood lined with paper, hand-coloured engraving depicting a maid with apollo knot hairdo setting the table in a typical Biedermeier house. A young man greets her through the open window and takes off his hat. On the lid the same image accompanied by the title in German and French. Lid darkened, puzzle itself very bright in colour, one tab replaced.
